Austin and Japan minister discuss regional security issues

U. S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin welcomed Japanese Minister of Defense Nobuo Kishi to the Pentagon Wednesday. The Pentagon said the ministers met to discuss regional security issues, bilateral efforts to further strengthen the U.S.-Japan Alliance, and measures to expand cooperation with like-minded partners.Secretary Austin said in the Indo-Pacific, the two countries have worked together for decades to sustain a free and open order that allows prosperity and security for all.
