






The Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and spouse who is a Patron of State Women’s Affairs Committee, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Government members and Departmental officials paid homage to the Presiding Sayadaw of Vimala Dhammnada monastery in Sittwe, offered the dry provisions and attended the training completion ceremony of basic sewing training for ethnic youth on January 27.
First, the Chief Minister and party observed the five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Vimala Dhammnada monastery, offered the dry provisions and shared the merits gained.
Next, the Chief Minister attended the training completion ceremony of basic sewing training for ethnic youth held in Khine Thazin Hall and gave a speech. In his speech, the Chief Minister mentioned that Rakhine State is a region where seven ethnic groups, including Rakhine, Mro, Khami, Thet, Dainet, Marmagyi, and Kaman, as well as Chin indigenous people and other ethnic groups, live together in unity and harmony.
Despite having diverse cultures, traditional customs, and religions, they have been coexisting peacefully for many years. The Rakhine State government, in alignment with the Union Government's development plans, objectives, and direction, has emphasized that the state will continue to grow and develop. The government is committed to supporting various livelihood education programs through the Union Government Budget and State Government Budget, ensuring continuous progress.
Then, the Chief Minister awarded the first-place winner by presenting a certificate of honor, cash prize, and one sewing machine. The Chief Minister’s wife presented a certificate of honor, cash prize, to the second-place winner, while the Chief Justice of the State High Court presented the third-place winner with a certificate of honor, cash prize. The members of the state government presented the solace prize-winning trainees and the female trainers by presenting them with certificates of honor, cash prize. They also handed out completion certificates to the trainees.
Next, a video recording of the basic sewing machine training program for indigenous youth was shown. One of the trainees expressed their gratitude, and a group photo was taken.
The Chief Minister and party then attended a cultural performance by the Rakhine State Cultural Group, which would be performed at the 78th Union Day celebration in Naypyidaw. They watched the performance and presented case of honor in recognition of the group's efforts."
