Assistance Provision: Cash Assistance Provided In Mandalay Region

A cash assistance provision ceremony for volunteer organizations, persons with disabilities and the elderly aged over 85 in Mandalay Region was held. The event at Mandalay City Hall was attended by Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, Mandalay Region Administration Council Chairman U Maung Ko and many other officials as well as representatives of the volunteer organizations, persons with disabilities and the elderly aged over 85.

The Ceremony began with remarks by the Union Minister, Mandalay Region Administration Council Chairman and Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. In this event, cash assistance of 1650. 324 million Kyats were provided for the volunteer organizations, 10,826 persons with disabilities and 33,366 persons aged over 85.

The Union Minister also met with staff from Mandalay Department of Social Welfare, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department at the school for the deaf in Chan Mya Tharsi Township, coordinated the facts presented, and, inspected the school.

Also, the Union Minister inspected youth training school in Aung Myay Tharsan Township, rehabilitation center (Mandalay) and Patheingyi youth training school in Patheingyi Township.
