Assignment of Local Plan Objectives: MGY Region CM assigned the local plan objectives

The assignment ceremony for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Local Plan Objectives of Magway Region was held in the morning of April 23 at the City Hall in Magway. Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko attended the event, delivered guidance, and formally assigned project objectives to regional-level departments and district administrators from the seven districts within the region.

In his opening speech, Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko stated that the Local Plan objective for the upcoming 2026-2027 Fiscal Year is valued at 14,474.140 billion Kyats, the region must strive to achieve a growth rate of 3.9%, the project activities for the Magway Region Local Plan have been drafted in alignment with national objectives and the goals and strategies of the Myanmar Sustainable and Balanced Development Plan (MSDP), in working toward the development of Magway Region, it is essential to simultaneously prioritize rural development and the growth of MSMEs.

Following the speech, Director of the Regional Planning Department, U Myo Thein, presented the implementation status of the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year objectives (based on year-end estimates from April to March) and detailed the targets for the 2026-2027 Local Plan.

The ceremony concluded after the Region Chief Minister officially handed over the plan documents to the regional departments and the seven district administrators, followed by his closing remarks, it’s reported.
