Assigning Regional Plan Targets: Bago Region CM delivered the opening remarks

A ceremony to assign regional plan targets for the 2026–2027 fiscal year for Bago Region was held at the Taw Win Hantha Meeting Hall of the Bago Region Government Office on April 29.

First, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win delivered opening remarks. He then assigned responsibilities for the regional plan targets to the Region Head of the Department of Agriculture for the agriculture sector, to the Region Head of the Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department for the industry sector, to the Director of the Bago Region Development Affairs Committee for the services sector, and to the Chairpersons of the District Administration Bodies from Bago, Taungoo, Nyaunglebin, Pyay, Thayarwady, and Nattalin Districts for investment project targets. He urged all to strive to exceed sector-wise targets in practical implementation and to work collectively in line with the State’s policies and guidance.

Afterwards, a coordination meeting to promote the development of agriculture, livestock, and MSME businesses was held with Chairmen of District and Township Planning, Management, and Administrative Committees. The Chief Minister delivered remarks at the meeting.

The attending District and Township committee chairmen then presented, via PowerPoint, the current status and future plans for developing agriculture, livestock, and MSMEs in their respective townships. Relevant Region-level departments supplemented the presentations sector by sector.

Subsequently, Region ministers offered recommendations on advancing the agriculture sector, expanding livestock activities, and accelerating the growth of local MSMEs. The Chief Minister provided detailed guidance tailored to the needs of each township, it’s reported.
