The final match of the 2025 ASEAN Women’s Championship hosted by Vietnam was held on August 19 at Lach Tray Stadium in Haiphong City, Vietnam, at 7:30 p.m. Myanmar Standard Time. The match was contested between the Myanmar Women’s National Team and the Australia U-23 Women’s Team.

In this match, the Australia U-23 team defeated Myanmar 1–0 with a single decisive goal. This result marked the fourth time in the tournament’s history that Myanmar’s women’s team finished as runners-up.

For Myanmar, this was their first appearance in the final since 2015, and although they reached the championship match again, they had to settle for second place.

The Myanmar Women’s Team has previously won the ASEAN Women’s Championship twice — in 2004 and 2007 — while also finishing as runners-up three times and securing third place three times.

At this year’s tournament, individual awards went to Myanmar players:

The Best Goalkeeper Award was won by Myo Mya Mya Nyein, goalkeeper of the Myanmar team. The Top Scorer Award went to team captain Win Theingi Tun, who scored seven goals throughout the competition.

According to the latest FIFA rankings, the Myanmar Women’s National Team is currently ranked 56th in the world.
