Myanmar women’s football team has reached the final of the ASEAN Women’s Championship (MSIG Serenity Cup 2025), currently being hosted in Vietnam.
They secured a 2-1 victory over Thailand in the semi-final, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. In recognition of their performance, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, awarded the team 30,000 US dollar.
The Myanmar Football Federation posted it on their Facebook page. It is leant that the team has also received 200 million kyat in prize money so far. The Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, conveyed the Chairman’s message to the team, encouraging them to stay united, focus, and give their best effort in the final match to bring pride to the nation.
The final match between Myanmar and Australia will take place on August 19 at 7:30 PM at Lach Tray Stadium in Vietnam.
