ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023: 6 tourism companies of Myanmar to participate

About 6 tourism companies from Myanmar will join the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), in February next year. In the travel galleries of the upcoming Forum, those 6 companies will exhibit their travel plans regarding Myanmar and travel arts depicting Myanmar traditions, customs and cultures.

For 2023, Indonesia will become the Chair and host of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which will be held in January 2023 in Yogyakarta of Java with the theme “ASEAN: A Journey to Wonderful Destinations”.

Naung Naung Han, Chairman, Myanmar Tourism Federation, said " The ASEAN Tourism Forum is held annually by ASEAN countries. We will display the arts of travel, travel plans and will arrange domestic tours in Myanmar in the 2023 tourism forum. Although the forum will start on 31st January, the exhibition will be held from 2nd to 5th February. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Myanmar did not participate in international travel fairs – the upcoming forum will be the 1st one we will re-participate. In the exhibition, we will invite foreign travel agents and arrange domestic tours - in travel industry, it’s called familiar trip (Fam Trip). There is also a Moscow International Farewell in March 2023 and so far, about 7 travel companies of Myanmar have registered to participate in that farewell."

The ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) is a cooperative regional effort to promote the Association of the Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN) region as one tourist destination.
