Artworks of Nature and Lifestyle: 5-Day Solo Show at Myanmar Art Centre

Myanmar Art Centre exhibits 5-day Solo Show of Artist U Saw Hlaing, portraying the lifestyle and traditional culture of Myanmar people. This is the 10th Solo Show of Artist U Saw Hlaing and 84 paintings are put on display at the exhibition. The paintings depict the natural landscapes, beauty of flowers, lifestyle and daily activities of people.

Artist, Saw Hlaing said “Since the nature is the master of landscape artists, we have to hunt down the beautiful landscapes of the country by travelling around. I use to draw my paintings for the audience to feel and enjoy the nature as they are actually there.”

Among the visitors are the fellow artists as they were inspired by the art works of the exhibitor.

Visitor, Artist Naing Gyi said “Artist Saw Hlaing use to draw the natural scenes. He sometimes draws about people but not the beauty portrait. Instead, he use to depict the movement of the people. We can see this depiction in the painting of Kalaw Train Station. He portrays the movement of people when the train arrived at the station.”

Visitor, Artist Than Win Tun said “I feel like I’m travelling across the country while enjoying the display of paintings here. We can also sense the rural cultures. I suggest all the young generation artists to come and study the art works of doyen artist here at the exhibition.”

The Solo Show will be held for 5 days from 12th to 16th March.
