Arts festival kicks off in east Jerusalem after two-year war hiatus

The Jerusalem Festival kicked off in the eastern part of the city on Monday after a two-year hiatus due to the war in Gaza, with various performances ranging from music performances to cultural seminars. "Any event that takes place in Jerusalem is not just about music or singing. It is more of a presence," said a visitor to the event which is organized by the Yabous Cultural Centre and the National Conservatory of Music in east Jerusalem.
