Arts And Culture: Union Minister Inspected Universities

The union minister for religious affairs and culture U Ko Ko visited the International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University situated in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region and paid homage to the acting deputy rector Venerable Say Keinda on Tuesday.

Next, the union minister submitted the current situations of the country and measures taken and the plans for the perpetuation and propagation of Sasana and the flourishing of Pariyatti and Patipatti Sasanas.

Then, the union minister and officials listened to the words of guidance given by the Sayadawgyi.

Next, the union minister observed around the International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University and the deputy rector (Admin) clarified the university’s teaching and administrative activities. The union minister gave the necessary guidance.

Later, the union minister and party arrived at the National University of Arts and Culture situated at Dagon Myothit (South) Township, met with the members of university faculty and gave the opening remark regarding with the teaching, studying and administrative measures.

Then, the rector of the university clarified the advantages and weaknesses regarding with the teaching of ethnic traditional music and dance and plans to be carried out. The union minister instructed the systematic teaching of ethnic traditional music and dance in detail.

Next, the union minister met with the staff members of the national university of arts and culture and gave necessary instructions to serve the duty in line with the rules and regulations of civil service personnel.
