Anti vaccination protest outside Parliament in Wellington

Anti-vaccination demonstrators took over the streets outside the Parliament buildings in Wellington, New Zealand on Sunday. Police monitored the protesters as they peacefully held signs demanding an end to mandated vaccination against COVID-19.

The protest against coronavirus vaccine mandates began almost two weeks ago when a convoy of trucks and cars drove to Wellington. Emulating the Freedom Convoy protests taking place in Canada, they blocked roads leading up to parliament. During another recent protest the New Zealand police used music to try to unsettle and disperse anti-vaccination demonstrators outside parliament.
