Announcement of Public Holiday: Diwali Day on October 20, is Public Holiday

The Office of the National Defense and Security Council, on October 14, made an announcement of Notification No. 190/2025 regarding the Diwali Day which is recognized as Public Holiday.

Monday, October 20, 2025, corresponding to the 14th Waning Moon of Thadingyut in the year 1387, is Diwali Day. According to the Article 25 of the Transferable Contracts Act, it is declared a public holiday for offices within the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
