Announcement of Election Dates: UEC announced Scheduled Election Dates

Union Election Commission announced the Scheduled Dates for the Multi-Party Democracy General Elections for the Hluttaws, in the morning on August 18.

In exercise of the responsibilities and authorities under Section 399 (a) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (2008) and Section 10 of the Union Election Commission Law, and in accordance with Section 34 (c) and Section-16 (a) of the by-law of the respective Hluttaw Election Laws, the Union Election Commission announces and designates that Phase 1 of the multi-party democracy general elections for the Hluttaws will commence on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The Commission will continue to announce the dates for subsequent phases of the elections.
