Anniversary Celebration: 4th Anniversary of the Myanmar Coast Guard

The 4th Anniversary of the Myanmar Coast Guard was commemorated at the Myanmar Coast Guard Compound on Thursday with the attendance of Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye.

Highlighting the Myanmar Coast Guard plays pivotal role in benefiting maritime industry, the Union Minister urged all to shoulder their duties with full of responsibilities for country’s peace, maritime law enforcement and building strong business networks.

He added that Myanmar Coast Guard Law was enacted on 17th July 2025 to ensure the country’s maritime development. After the ceremony, the Union Minister and party toured the exhibition booths for commemorating the Coast Guard Command. They also visited on board the vessel of the Coast Guard. The Myanmar Coast Guard is established with the aims for Myanmar maritime benefits, protecting blue ocean strategy, preventing maritime security threats, law enforcement at sea, providing humanitarian assistance and assisting Myanmar Navy in emergency situation.
