Anniversary Celebration: 4th anniversary of MOSYA celebrates in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs celebrated its 4th anniversary at Gold Camp in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.

Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung gave an opening speech, highlighting the ministry’s key role in promoting national pride through sports. He reviewed the ministry’s history, from its roots in 1964 to its reformation in 2021, focusing on national health, youth development, and sports excellence.

The Union Minister emphasized expanding public sports activities, training new athletes, participating in local and international competitions, cooperating with sports federations for long-term success, enhancing staff skills through training and international exposure and promoting youth development across 16 key sectors, including health, education, and employment.

He added that the ministry also supports anti-corruption measures and encourages ongoing learning in areas like IT and AI. During the event, awards and scholarships were presented to outstanding students, staff, and athletes. The event concluded with a lucky draw for staff, followed by entertainment, including live performances and karaoke contests.
