Ancient water worshipping temple discovered in Peru

in the coastal region of Lambayeque, an ancient ceremonial site as well as skeletons and other artefacts were discovered, archaeologist Walter Alva said. Peruvian archaeologists discovered the 3,000-year-old temple which is used for water worship rituals in ancient Peru and also found 21 tombs at the site of El Toro, in northern Lima. The temple is some 40 meters long and 56 meters wide with an altar. Some 21 tombs were also unearthed together with ceramic objects, metal objects and the copper rings of a child.
