Amyotha Hluttaw: Second day meeting of third regular session

The second day of the third regular session of the 3rd Amyotha Hluttaw took place at the Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw on September 24th with the attendance of 204 Hluttaw representatives.

The meeting commenced with the questions on installation of an X-ray Machine and construction of X-ray room at the Hpa Aout ဖားအောက် Station Hospital in Hpa Aout Village-tract of Mawlamyine Township, Mon State, construction of Myinkyadoe Station Hospital and staff housing in YwarNgan Township of Danu Self-Administered Zone, repairing of Oxygen machine at the 100-bed Hospital in Hkamti Township of Sagaing Region, reassigning of Assistant Ophthalmologist at 1000-Bed People’s Hospital in Homalin Township of Sagaing Region, upgrading of 50-Bed People’s Hospital to the 100-Bed facility in Kyaikto Township of Mon State, and construction of new Station Hospital in Kaung Bo Village, Yatsauk Township of Shan State (South).

Deputy Minister for Health Dr. Aye Tun and concerned officials responded the questions. The session also approved the formation of parliamentary friendship associations with Cambodia and Viet Nam, comprising 10 members, chaired by Dr. Kyaw Tun, Shan State Amyotha Hluttaw Representative No. 6 and Brigadier General Myint Thaung (Tatmadaw Representative) as Secretary while the Myanmar-Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Association comprises 10 members, chaired by U Myo Min Naung, Kayin State Amyotha Hluttaw Representative No. 5 and Daw Mi Mi KyawTun, Kayin State Amyotha Hluttaw Representative No. 4 as Secretary. The meeting also sought approval for substitution of members in Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee. The third day of third regular meeting of the third Amyotha Hluttaw will be held on 25th September.
