Amendment of Law: Protecting Privacy and Security of Citizens Law amended

The National Defence and Security Council enacted the Amendment of Law Protecting the Privacy and Security of Citizens, ( the National Defence and Security Council Law No. 4/2026), on February 3 in accordance with the provisions of the Section-427 of the State Constitution. 

The amended law comprises three sections including the name of the amended law, the substitutions at sub-section (b) of section-5 and the introductory part of section-8 of original law. The enactment of the amended law was signed by Acting President, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
