Alms-Food Donation: Shan State Government Organizes The Ceremony On Martyrs’ Day

Shan State Government offered alms-food to sanghas dedicating to fallen martyrs including General Aung San at the State Government Office in Taunggyi on 75th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day, Tuesday.

At the event, the congregation led by Shan State Chief Minister DrKyawTun received Five Precepts from SunlunVipassana meditation Monastery Sayadaw and listened to the religious sermons from Sayadaws and monks.

The Chief Minister and party then donated offertories to members of the sangha and listened to the sermons from the Chairman of the State SanghaNayaka Committee TheinTaungPariyatti Monastery Sayadaw in Taunggyi and shared the merits. The Chief Minister, the Commander of Eastern Command and the State Ministers also donated day meal to Sayadaws and monks.
