Agriculture Sector: Union Minister Meets With Officials In Tanintharyi Region

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo held meeting with officials from Tanintharyi Region agriculture sector in Kawthoung. There, the Union Minister stressed the Ministry’s efforts for development of agriculture sector by providing assistance to start fishery and livestock businesses as well.

He also urged the attendees to implement the Government’s policies and objectives, sharpen their skills, share technology and to provide assistance for value-added products making. The meeting continued with discussions on fishery and agriculture sectors work processes in the Region. The Union Minister also stressed the importance of use of pure strains and fertilizers in agriculture sector, advanced technology sharing, training and work safety.
