






Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo met with the Myanma Agricultural Machinery Entrepreneurs Association officials at the Myanma Agricultural Machinery Factory (Ingone) in Kyaukse Township of Mandalay Region.
In the meeting, high ranking officials from the Department of Agriculture reported on research and testing of agricultural equipment in the short-term financial year of 2021-2022, experimental onion cultivator, onion planting equipment and spraying equipment, testing of seeding equipment and skilled manpower and equipment requirements to increase hand tractor assembly production.
In his response, the Union Minister explained the ministry’s efforts to encourage extensive use of agricultural implements for timely seasonal cultivation and its arrangement for quality inspection of local and foreign agricultural equipment and training to turn out professional agricultural machinery operators as well as arrangement for those who have completed high school technical training in agricultural equipment training schools, to produce a large number of internationally recognized professionals graduating from basic education and to transfer qualified people to government technical science and undergraduate courses.
He also urged private entrepreneurs to strive to make access to quality agricultural equipment accessible to farmers. The Officials of Myanmar Agricultural Machinery Entrepreneurs Association discussed the relevant sectors and the Union Minister further discussed the requirements.
After the meeting, the Union Minister inspected workshops of the Factory. The Myanma Agricultural Machinery Factory (Ingone) produced more than 9,500 hand tractors and over 9,600 hand-held tractors from 2015-2016 fiscal year to 2021-2022 financial year.
In the 2022-2023 financial year, the factory is planning to produce and distribute 6 types of agricultural equipment and 5,000 hand tractors. On the same day, the Union Minister visited the Agricultural Machinery Factory of Good Brothers Machineries Co., Ltd in Pyigyidagun Township, viewed machines production process and stressed quality production.
