Agriculture Sector: Meeting on acceleration of sunflower cultivation

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation held a meeting on acceleration of sunflower cultivation. This meeting focused on implementation conditions during the 2022-2023 financial year 6-month period from April to September and plans.

There, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi called on attendees to review the conditions encountered during the monsoon sunflower cultivation period and to make preparations for meeting the targets for sunflower cultivation in the coming cold season.

He also called for cooperation between relevant departments and region/state governments. The attendees made discussions on relevant sector-specific operations, cold season sunflower cultivation plans and other cultivation-related matters.
