Agriculture Sector: Chief Minister attends green manure ploughing ceremony

Ayeyawaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win attended the ploughing ceremony of green manure at the field of a local farmer in PhaYaGyiKone Village-tract of Eainme Township.

There, the Head of the Regional Agricultural Department reported on cultivation of green manure and the yield of fertilizer from 1-acre green manure plantation.

The Chief Minister and departmental officials viewed ploughing for cultivation of green manure by farmers. It’s learnt that 4 pyis of green manure seeds are needed per acre – sowed after 45 days, it can be used as fertilizer.

By using green manure, farmers will save the cost, the head of township agricultural department said.
