Agriculture Development: Summer paddy harvesting and distribution event

In Twantay District of Yangon Region, the 2025–2026 summer paddy harvesting and distribution event took place at a farm in Kamarpa Village on Wednesday. Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Aung Naing Thu attended the event, together with regional ministers, township administration committees, and agricultural department staff.

At the event, farmers received paddy seeds, drum seeders, coffee seedlings, and green manure fertilizer. The Chef Minister and officials later reviewed the status of rice cultivation, drum seeder use, and solar water pump distribution in the region. The yield of the farm was 136.69 baskets per acre for the Aung Nain Toe summer paddy variety. The Chief Minister and officials also observed green manure plantations.
