Agriculture Development: Boosting production in agriculture and livestock

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi attended a ceremony to demonstrate the spraying of fertilizer at the monsoon paddy plantation in NyaungPinGyiSu Village of Pobbathiri Township on Saturday.

The Deputy Minister met with the farmers and stressed the needs to use balanced mixture of natural and chemical fertilizers, to use natural pesticides for reducing the cost and to apply the suggestion of the agriculturists for double cropping.

The Deputy Minister and party later inspected Broiler Poultry Far in YwaThitGyi Village, and Cattle Farm in SharChaung Village of Lewe Township.

He called for cooperation of the private entrepreneurs, farmers and local people for creating job opportunities and regional development.

The Deputy Minister later inspected ThaePhyu Dam near YayPyarYoe Village and Madam Dam near MyoKone Village, and instructed for boosting production of crops in the irrigated areas while carrying out the beautifying tasks at the dams to become a recreation places.
