Agricultural Development: Seeds and inputs provided to farmers

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe attended a ceremony in Kawt Hlaik village on Friday to provide peanuts and agricultural inputs to the members of the Aung Tha Pyay Agricultural and General Economic Cooperative Association, in honor of the 70th Anniversary Kayin State Day.

At the event, the Union Minister highlighted cooperative efforts between associations to provide seeds and inputs worth 250,000 kyats per acre for 100 acres of peanuts to 20 farmers, crop planning, Ministry’s support and the importance of proper cultivation methods to meet yield targets.

The Union Minster then provided seeds and inputs to the farmers. The Union Minister later inspected the Htan Tapin–Kawt Hlaik–Win Kyan–Kayin Phar Lin-HtoneAi village road.

After hearing departmental reports, he urged continued implementation of the project in the coming fiscal years. The Union Minister emphasized adherence to quality standards while coordinating necessary measures for the remaining 6 miles and 5 furlongs of the road.
