






Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, along with officials, conducted an inspection of ongoing agricultural and rural development projects in Mandalay on Tuesday.
They attended the stake driving ceremony of a new bakery factory in Pyigyidagun township, which is set to produce large quantities of baked goods. The Union Minister highlighted the importance of expanding agricultural industries to improve rural incomes, reduce poverty, create job opportunities, and lessen the need for migrant labor.
He emphasized that industrial development, particularly in agriculture-based industries, is key to sustainable rural growth. The bakery project, which is being developed by the local cooperative, is expected to produce over 100,000 units of packaged baked goods daily.
The Union Minister encouraged the project to use modern packaging techniques to attract customers. Additionally, the Union Minister attended the stake driving ceremony of a rice mill. They also inspected the dairy processing factory and water purifier factory. During the inspection, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of timely project completion, ensuring the sustainable operation of factories, securing raw materials, and expanding market reach for finished products.
