Agricultural Development : Providing agricultural inputs to farmers in Magway Region

A ceremony was held in Myothit Township of Magway Region on Saturday to provide agricultural inputs to farmers who are not entitled in the State Economic Promotion Fund.

The provision was made under the Thet Tant Yaung  Project, at which farmers have to pay back the agricultural loan after the harvest time. Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe urged farmers to ensure systematic practice of using agricultural inputs for achieving targeted yield.

He also instructed officials to provide educative information to the farmers. During the ceremony, agricultural inputs were provided to monsoon paddy farmers from 20 villages in Myothit Township. On separate occasion, the Cooperative Department provided agricultural inputs for farmers who engage in winter crops from five villages in Magway, Myothit and Taung Twin Gyi Townships.
