Agricultural Development: Operation process of the Rice Mill inspected

Union Minister for Cooperative and Development of Rural Areas U Hla Moe and officials inspected the test run of the Rice Mill in SeinSarPin Village of Zeyathiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council area on Friday.

The Rice Mill is being run by Shwe Zeyar Agricultural Cooperative Association. The Union Minister said the association will provide agricultural loans, inputs, harvestors and paddy species through the Contract Farming System.

It will also provide the milling process of the paddy, yielded from 510 acres plantations of 135 member farmers.  The association will help achieve good incomes through the networking sales among the cooperative associations.

The Union Minister later inspected the production process of the Rice Mill, which is being implemented under the MOU between the Agriculture Department and Korea International Cooperation Agency.

It can provide milling for 30,000 tons of rice a month, whild 60,000 tons for drying process. The Rice Mill is scheduled to operate 10 months a year.
