







The Basic Education Schools Aerobics Competition marked the Myanmar Women's Day 2025 and Award Ceremony took place at the State Sports Training Hall in Taunggyi on June 30th.
First, 22 teams from various basic education schools performed a collective aerobics demonstration. Then, the six teams that reached the finals competition. The competition was attended and supported by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, patron of the Shan State Women's Committee and wife of the Chief Minister, members of the Women's Affairs Committee, state ministers, the State Advocate General, state, district, and township level departmental officials, teachers and students from basic education high schools, and aerobics enthusiasts.
Following the competition, an award ceremony was held for the winning teams. The rectors from various universities, wife of Chief Minister and the wives of the Shan State Government members presented awards to the schools that received the prizes.
Next, Chief Minister U Aung Aung presented individual medals, cash prizes, and the first-place trophy to the winning team, Basic Education High School - Pan Thakhwa ပန်သခွား. The Chief Minister and officials then cordially greeted and encouraged all the participating aerobics teams from the basic education schools.
Ater that, the Chief Minister and officials observed the ongoing sale of rice, oil, and eggs for the welfare of retired civil servants and pensioners. This initiative is carried out under the guidance of the State Government, in cooperation with relevant departments and entrepreneurs. The Chief Minister also reportedly gave necessary instructions regarding these efforts.
