Meanwhile, rescuers searched for bodies and survivors Tuesday in the rubble of buildings that collapsed in an earthquake that killed at least 162 people on Indonesia's main island of Java and injured hundreds more, overwhelming hospitals.
Rescuers used excavators, trucks and other heavy equipment sent overnight to the hardest-hit city of Cianjur. The city was near the epicenter of magnitude 5.6 quake Monday afternoon.
Damage, blackouts and lack of heavy equipment have hampered rescuers, but power and phone communications have begun to improve in the quake-hit areas on Tuesday.
