ACWA Power to invest on renewable energy projects in Malaysia

The chairman of Saudi Arabia-based renewable energy giant ACWA Power met with the Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh on Monday. ACWA has expressed interest in investing more than $10 billion US dollars in Malaysia over a 10-year period.
The plans are to collaborate with several strategic Malaysian partners in developing renewable energy projects across multiple states in Malaysia, to power up green data centers.The renewable energy initiative is in the final stages of discussion and is expected to be finalized by the end of this year.
On the same day, Anwar also held bilateral meetings with his Pakistani counterpart.The discussion also focused on efforts to explore investment opportunities and new cooperation in the fields of trade, education, defence, tourism and human resources.
