Activities in Mon State: Tree planting, sales of consumer goods & COVID-19 prevention

Mon State Government organized a tree planting ceremony on Saturday, aiming to substitute the forest depletion and to establish forest plantations. Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun and ministers planted the saplings of teak and hard woods and encouraged the participants, planting saplings in ThanLwin Garden of Mawlamyine.

Some 300,000 saplings are estimated to plant during monsoon in 2022-2023 fiscal year. The Chief Minister and party later viewed the sales of consumer goods with reasonable prices by the Consumer Department, Rice Dealers Association and Edible Oil Dealers Association under the supervision of the state government.

They also viewed the sales of consumer goods and vegetables by the Mawlamyine Station of Southeastern Command. The Chief Minister and party also encouraged the mask campaign activity, and vaccination of COVID-19 booster dose.
