





Due to maintenance work at the Chipwi Nge Hydropower Plant, temporary disruptions have occurred in Myitkyina of Kachin State.
To address this, authorities are providing public charging services at electricity offices and ward administration offices. On April 18, Chief Minister of Kachin State U Khet Htein Nan inspected ongoing efforts to reduce electricity difficulties. During his visit, the Chief Minister observed charging stations powered by generators, allowing residents to charge EV motorbikes, phones, power banks, and lighting equipment.
He also met with local officials and community members. The government has arranged fuel supplies for generators and water distribution if needed. Additionally, solar panels and power stations were provided to ward offices to support electricity access. Officials said efforts will continue to expand these services based on public needs. Maintenance work started at the Chipwi Nge Hydropower Plant on April 18 and it will last about two weeks.
