Academic Visit: MOE Union Minister visits academic infrastructures

Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein together with Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint, Directors-Gneral and officials visited Meiktila Education Degree College on Thursday.

There, the Principal of the college explained the current teaching and management progress and future plans. The Union Minister and party later viewed the lecture rooms, hall and theater at the main three-storey building, instructing to emphasize teaching and management skills development and presented cash rewards for the college.

During the visit to Meiktila University of Economics, the Union Minister inspected the main hall, convocation hall and library as well as the cleaning and greening tasks of the university compound. At the Mandalay Education Degree College, the Union Minister instructed future working process on the reports by the Principal for preparations to upgrade the facility to university level and building master plan.

The Union Minister later inspected the construction site to expand the college infrastructure. During the meeting with the lecturer and trainees at the college canteen, the Union Minister provided cash assistance, urging them to try their best to become skillful lecturer in turning out outstanding individuals for the nation.

The Union Minister later proceeded to the University of Mandalay to inspect the completion of five-storey building which was damaged by Mandalay earthquake and gave necessary instructions. The Union Minister cordially met with the lecturers and staff at the temporary Banmaw University office, opened in the compound of the University of Mandalay, and made encouragement, saying the Ministry will support the needs for the development of education sector and provided cash assistance to them.
