Academic Institutions Inspected: MOST Union Minister Visited Rakhine State

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw made inspection at the universities and institutes during his trip in Rakhine State from 30th April to 3rd May.

The Union Minister and officials met with Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min and officials, and discussed matters on conducting training at the University of Technology (Sittwe), University of Computer Science (Sittwe), Government Technological Institute (Thandaw, KyaukPhyu) and Government Technological High School (Sittwe).

They also discussed cooperative works for regional development works. On 30th April, the Union Minister met with the faculties in GTI (Thandwe), and gave instructions on the administration and academic matters, preparation measures for reopening of the institute and beautifying tasks. On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd May, the Union Minister met with the faculties from YTU (Sittwe), UCS (Sittwe), GTHS (Sittwe) and GTI (KyaukPhyu) on separate occasions.

The Union Minister discussed to implement the qualified teaching method, to make constant learning with the effective use of ICT, and plans for reopening of the facilities. During the trip, the Union Minister inspected the lecture halls, practical rooms, teaching aids, library and workshops.
