Academic and management affairs: TU and USC will open the first year to Ph,D courses

The first year to Ph.D courses for 2022-2023 academic year of the Technological Universities and the Universities of Computer Studies will be opened in November this year.

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw discussed arrangements for academic and management affairs in the Technological University and the University of Computer Studies, purchasing machines, the strength of teachers, staffs and students and prioritized plans accordingly financial year depending on infrastructure and norms at the coordination meeting of the Technological University and the University of Computer Studies at the Ministry on Monday.

The Union Minister added that the Students who are studying in the respective Technological Universities and the University of Computer Studies need to become professionals who have knowledgeable and creative idea. He stressed the needs on carrying out the researches for the benefits of the state and the region accordingly the subjects of the universities, getting accreditation and practicing credit system,  implementation of the projects with MoUs and MoAs, cooperation with other organization for the requirements and amending the contracts in line with procedures, beautifying and greening of the universities and efforts for good environments for academic and teaching affairs.

Officials reported on the functioning works, nurturing for human resource development including teaching and management affairs, international relations, policy, project and statistics, capacity management and analysis and strong and weak points on construction and challenges. Responsible officials from the Ministry and rectors and pro-rectors from relevant universities attended the meeting that will be held on 19th October.
