80th Anniversary of the Victory: SSPC Chairman attended military parade in Beijing

At the invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, attended the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War Military Parade in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, at 8:00 a.m. local time on September 3rd.

The ceremony was attended by Chinese President H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, invited heads of state and government from various countries and members of the high-level Myanmar delegation.

First, the Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the other heads of state received a salute from the Chinese honor guard. They then took their designated places, where the Chinese President personally and warmly greeted each of them.

Following this, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman and the other leaders took a group photo with the Chinese President.

The leaders then proceeded to the Tiananmen Rostrum to view the military parade.

The ceremony for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War Military Parade then began. His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping delivered a speech and reviewed the parade troops in a vehicle. The troops then marched and saluted the Chinese President and the attending heads of state.

After that, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman and the other invited leaders attended a celebratory lunch hosted by the Chinese President.

Before the start of the military parade, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing had a friendly meeting with the heads of state of 13 countries to discuss bilateral cooperation.
