75th Republic Day of India: Embassy of India organized a celebration in Yangon

A ceremony to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of the Republic of India was held at the residence of the Indian Ambassador to Myanmarin Yangon on Friday evening.

The ceremony was attended by the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and wife, Lt-Gen Thet Pon from the office of the Commander in Chief (Army) and wife, Yangon Region Command Commander Maj-Gen ZawHein and wife, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and wife, senior military officers, Ambassadors from Foreign Embassies in Yangon, Militaryattaches’, resident representatives of the UN Agencies and many other concerned officials.

The invited guests were welcomed by Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr.Vinay Kumar, Military Attaché and officials. Then, the ceremony was inaugurated with the anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of India. This was followed by a welcoming speech of Indian Ambassador to Myanmar.During the dinner, the Indian traditional dance troupes performed with Indian traditional dances.
