59th Anniversary: Union Minister Attends Road Transport Celebration

The Department of Road Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications celebrated its 59th Anniversary in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
At the event, Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San said that the department is carrying out for transportation of passengers and commodities across the nation in scuccessive eras and transport services necessary for the projects. To have a better transporation system, the construction of basic infrastructures, maintenance, economic feasibility, effective supervision, enacting laws and bylaws and the staff qualification are the main requirements.
The Union Minister called for serving the interests of the state by reviewing advantages and disavantages that are encountered in the past years and also expressed his acknowlegement to all officers and staffs who served dutifully in succsessive eras.
Later, the Managing Director of the Road Transport reported on the history of the department and implementation for responsibilities. The Union Minister and the Deputy Minister then presented awards to outstanding staff.
