





The fourth coordination meeting of the Digital Economy Development Committee (DEDC) was held at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Commerce (Office No. 3) in Nay Pyi Taw on July 25.
The meeting was attended by Patron of the DEDC, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications, General Mya Tun Oo, who delivered an opening address.
In his address, the Patron of DEDC stated that the National-Level Digital Economy Development Committee (DEDC) has been established, and the committee unveiled the "Myanmar Digital Economy Roadmap 2030." on December 24, 2024. This roadmap outlines 1 strategic vision, 1 strategic goal, 6 key objectives, 9 priority sectors, 9 strategic pillars, 22 strategic targets, 77 action plans. All aimed at advancing Myanmar digital economy by 2030.
The success of this roadmap depends on collaborative efforts from all DEDC members across sectors, which will not only ensure the committee’s mission but also shape a strong digital economic future for Myanmar. Members were urged to present their progress transparently and work with responsibility and commitment to further strengthen Myanmar’s digital economy.
Following this, Union Minister for Commerce and DEDC Chairman U Tun Ohn also delivered the remarks. Representatives from five working committees under the DEDC presented updates on the implementation status of previous meeting resolutions, ongoing initiatives and future action plans. Attendees discussed sector-specific developments in digital economy advancement.
The DEDC Patron provided additional guidance and coordinated necessary support. Finally, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo delivered closing remarks, concluding the meeting.
