3rd Anniversary: Celebration of Myanmar Law Information System

Union Attorney General’s Office held the 3rd Anniversary celebration of the Myanmar Law Information System (MLIS) on Friday in Nay Pyi Taw.

In the event at the Union Attorney General’s Office, Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo said that the launch of the Myanmar Law Information System (MLIS) will help the implementation of e-Government system in the country. She called for continuous cooperation from ministries to update the System.

Myanmar Law Information System, www.mlis.gov.mm, was launched on the 24th of May 2018 with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and technical assistance from the Ministry of Legislation of the Republic of Korea. Myanmar Law Information System (MLIS) is designed to help the public get legal awareness, and, legal researchers and law students and makers can use it as a law library. MLIS is the system firstly launched in ASEAN, providing service of the Myanmar law information on 10,761 facts. Over 1.2 million people visited the website so far, it’s learnt.
