33rd Meeting of ASEAN Directors-General of Customs

The General Department of Viet Nam Customs is hosting the 33rd Meeting of the ASEAN Directors-General of Customs from June 4th to 6th.

The ASEAN Customs departments are committed to strengthening cooperation to further streamline ASEAN's common goods market and production base. This effort also seeks to serve the interests of a community comprising nearly 700 million people, while contributing to the strengthening of the ASEAN Economic Community and fostering integration into the global economy.

During the meeting, the Directors-General of ASEAN Customs discussed orientations to continue implementing the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature, the ASEAN Single Window, the ASEAN Customs Transit System, the Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Authorized Economic Operators with in ASEAN countries and cooperative initiatives to combat smuggling and trade fraud across the ASEAN region.
