








With the theme “Through the Dialogues to a Peaceful New Nation,” the Peace Talk 2025 was held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Center in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on March 25 as second day.
The peace talks were attended by Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Committee members, senior military officials (retired), representatives from the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC), political party representatives, representatives from ethnic armed groups that have signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), those actively involved in the peace process, intellectuals and intelligentsia, media, and officials from various ministries, rectors from universities, the representatives from associations and observers.
NSPNC secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing presided over the panel discussion of “Politics and Security Sector” with the leading discussion of Dr. Aung Myo under the topic of “Current Myanmar Peace Process and prospects of the future.” At the discussion on the “Sectors of Economy and Development of the Country”, NSPNC member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein (Retired) presided over with the leading discussion Dr. Zaw Oo under the topic of "Considering the relevant sectors while striving for economic resilience during the period of conflict reduction." Participants also had the opportunity to engage in further discussions and ask questions, with speakers providing clarifications and expanding on key points.
In the afternoon session, U Maung Maung Nyein led a discussion under the topic "International Relations, Regional and International Cooperation, and the Myanmar Peace Process" within the "Political and Security Sector." Continuing, Dr. Nyo Nyo Thin led a discussion under the topic "Constitutional Amendments and Shaping a Democratic and Federal Union" within the "Economic and National Development Sector," followed by a discussion and Q&A session with the attendees, where various opinions and perspectives were shared.
After that, during the panel discussion, the views and opinions gathered were presented by individual representatives of the attendees. The Speaker provided clarifications and further discussions on the questions and points raised, bringing the second day of the Peace Dialogue to a close. It was announced that the third day of the Peace Dialogue will continue on March 26.
