27th Anniversary: Immigration and Population Ministry holds celebration

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi attended the 27th Anniversary celebration of the Ministry on Sunday in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the celebration at the ministry, the Union Minister and party offered morning meal to members of the Sangha, took five precepts, offered offertories, listened to sermons delivered by the Sangha and shared the merits gained.

During the 2nd part of the celebration, the Union Minister stressed the important role of the ministry of immigration and population for the national security and interests of the country, the need to know the law and procedures for census collection and urged the attendees to cooperate and serve the duties.

The Union Minister and officials presented certificates of honour and cash awards to outstanding officers and staff and outstanding family members of the officers and staff – education stipen was also provided. The Union Minister and wife also donated 5 million Kyats for the ministry’s education foundation.
