22nd Research Conference: Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science organizes the event

The 22nd Research Conference of Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science was opened at the Yangon University on Monday.

At the event, Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe said that out of 32 subjects, a total of 143 research papers from 24 subjects will be read out. Out of the 16 submitted doctoral research reports, honorary awards will be presented to the researchers who won academic awards in 8 categories.

The Union Minister added that the Ministry of Education is encouraging to carry out research and the budget for research project grants has been allocated for relevant universities.

If the CRIs are come out, the Universities will fulfill technical requirements for improving socio-economic life of the region by connecting to entrepreneurs in the region. It will directly benefit to the career development of research teachers and students.

The Union Minister stressed the needs on the emergence of research culture, cooperation in applied research works for the development of MSMEs and more research works by respective universities.

Later, the Chairman of Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science extended greetings. Member of the Academy then read out the list of the winners and reasons for awarding.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Academy presented awards to the winners from respective universities. The research paper reading sessions will be held for three days from 19th to 21st December.
