1st Session of 3rd Pyithu Hluttaw: 1st Session of 3rd Pyithu Hluttaw commenced

First Day of the First Regular Session of Third Pyithu Hluttaw convened on 16th March at the meeting hall of the PyiThu Hluttaw with the attendance of 373 representatives which is the cent per cent of the Pyithu Hluttaw Representatives.

Dr Nanda Kyaw Swar of Dagon constituency presided over the meeting and took an oath, delivering a speech.

Following this, Pyithu Hluttaw representatives took an oath. U Khin Ye, representative of Zeyathiri constituency, was elected as Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw and U Maung Maung Ohn, representative of Tatkone constituency, as Deputy Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw. Next, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker took an oath. Later, the Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker delivered a welcome speech and concluded the first day meeting.
