1st Coordination Meeting: VSG addressed the meeting to hold Independence Day

Chairman of Central Committee for organizing 2023 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win delivered a remark at the first coordination meeting of central committee held at the meeting room of the Union government office, Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on Wednesday.

In his remark, the SAC vice chairman deputy prime minister said that this meeting is held to be able to carry out the preparation works regarding with the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.

If the history of the country’s independence is traced back, from 1948 to date, although the consecutive governments changed, the different conception and assumption on the issues of ethnic, religious and regional affairs caused under the instigation of imperialists have prevailed with the birth of independence and been persisting to date.

The Prime Minister is implementing the two national tasks of prosperity and food security of the country since taking the state responsibilities by the state administration council to eradicate those different conception and assumption. The tasks are being carried out with the objectives of equalizing the differences, finding common ground removing the differences, building the union with democracy and federal system.

When the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day is celebrated, it’s needed to manage not to derail those objectives.The independence was not and cannot be gained easily. From the losing the independence to the period of regaining it, over a hundred years the lives and bloods of national races had to be sacrificed. Although It’s needed just a moment, just a morning or just a day to lose the independence, the big price has to be paid to regain the independence.

To remember such big sacrifices to regain the independence, the celebration of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day must be implemented.

The five objectives of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day will be set. Those objectives are to consolidate the full disciplined multiparty democracy system, to build the union based on the democracy and federal system, to put effort to the best for the national tasks of prosperity and food security of the country, with the motion of the interest of the country and national brethren in line with the motto of “ Keep moving forward to achieve our goals” to build the better country and socio-economic life, to put exerted effort with the strong resolve for the national solidarity and peaceful union, to hold the free and fair multi party democracy general election and to emerge the proportionate representing system with all-inclusiveness of national brethren etc.

Then, the members of central committee reported implementations of the formation of working committees and clarified related sectors to successfully organize the 2023 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.Next, the central committee secretary sought the approval regarding with the forming organizing committee and working committee for holding 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.

After coordinating the requirements on the clarifications by the Chairman of Central Committee for organizing 2023 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister, a speech of conclusion was given, it’s learnt.
