Twelve countries, including Britain, France and Canada, have agreed to restrict trade with Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. In a joint statement on Tuesday, Canada and 11 European countries confirmed their intention to introduce the restrictions.

The statement calls for Israel to immediately halt the expansion of settlements and ensure accountability for settler violence. It reiterated the countries' support for a two-state solution recognizing the sovereignty of both Israel and Palestine.
